Pat Polletta 2 Mile Rail Trail Race

The 39th Annual Pat Polletta 2 Mile Rail-Trail Race will be run at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Winner’s Circle, just off the Route 110 exit of Route 95, in Salisbury, MA on Salisbury’s Ghost Trail, a course of packed-gravel on Old Elm Street, Salisbury.
Race proceeds will benefit select local high school freshmen and sophomore female students from Amesbury, Newburyport, Pentucket and Triton by providing running shoe vouchers to inspire the sport of running.
Pat Polletta spearheaded the creation of the first girls’ track program in the Merrimack Valley and coached the Amesbury High School cross-country and track teams for many years. This race is named after Pat in honor of his life-long advocacy of fitness as a powerful means to build self-esteem and empower young people.
T-shirts for the first 150 registered. $75 First, $50 Second, $25 Third place cash award to overall male and female. Finisher Medals to Top 3 male & female in age groups: 12 & under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+
Registration fees are $25.00 (plus fees) in advance, and $30.00 on race day.
Due to the narrow course, this race is limited to foot traffic. Animals and push vehicles are not permitted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
